1. Why both photography AND writing?

To me, photography and writing go hand-in-hand. Pictures can communicate better to viewers with accompanying words, and words can tell better stories to readers with pictures. Taking photos and writing stories are like second nature for me. My mother always stold me to follow my dreams and to listen to my heart. You know what they say. Mothers are always right! So here I am putting my passion into images and stories.

2. What can you offer me as a writer?

As a writer, I write eloquently in an easy to read, conversational manner. I can adjust my writing style to be persuasive, informative or emotive to suit the nature of your business in order to convey the message across to your readers. I research my subjects thoroughly, so you can be sure the information in my articles are correct. But most importantly, all my articles are 100% original. I never plagiarize or rephrase any other articles anywhere. Ever. I can also assist you in connecting your website content to major search engines so that your business is visible in the internet. I do that by strategically placing relevant keywords in your content without ever making it sound like unwanted spam.

I also have a collection of stock articles ready for publication. Kindly contact me for use.

3. How can you help me as a photographer?

Photographs are memories of places, people and events that you want to cherish and remember. Photographs are also used to convey messages and stories to various audiences. I take your needs and requirements seriously and translate that into high quality images that you can be proud of. While a good photograph can be produced by someone with technical skills and talent, quality equipment also play a part in ensuring the images are 'pixel perfect'. I do not use inferior equipment for your images.

4. What equipment do you use?

I use a Nikon D300 with several Nikkor lenses (18-200mm VR, 50mm f1.8, 105mm Micro VR) and an SB-800 speedlight. Other accessories include top notch filters from Hoya and Hitech.

5. What is your photographic style?

I am a fairly versatile photographer, but my photographic style does not change as it is similar to an identity. I like to describe my style as photojournalistic, because I believe that my images should tell a story on its own. I greatly tend to favor candid shots because it lend depth and soul to images. Also, I am not very fond of using excessive Photoshop for my photos. I believe that capturing the essence of an image should be done during the shoot in the camera, not by spending time manipulating the image in photo-editing softwares.

6. Are you working on any photography projects?

As matter of fact, I am. I plan to photograph the life and struggles of one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes on earth, the Penans. This is currently an on-going project, with several upcoming treks into the Borneo planned in order to meet the tribes. You can follow the progress in my gallery.

7. Where can I find more pictures of your work?

Well, you can visit my flickr page. There are tons more photos there.

8. What's the difference between the photos in flickr and in your website?

The pictures featured here in my website are the ones I consider represents the type of photography I do. The one in flickr, on the other hand, serves more as a photo sharing site where I put personal pictures of my family, friends, vacations, events etc.

9. What is the Skype button for? Can I really chat with you on Skype?

I use Skype as a networking tool to converse with like-minded individuals who share the same passion for photography and writing as I do, and to exchange ideas and experiences. I also welcome live feedbacks and comments from visitors about my work. Therefore, I look forward to chatting with you if your intentions are as stated.

Before chatting with me, I ask that you kindly observe the following etiquettes:

Be mindful of my online status. If my status is 'Not Available', 'Do Not Disturb' or 'Away', then I am exactly that. It is just plain rude to request a chat with me when it is very clear that I am not inclined to do so.

Be polite and introduce yourself. After all, I don't know you but I am willing to strike up a conversation with you. The least you could do is tell me who you are, where you are from and what you wish to talk to me about.

Now while I have no problems using Skype to chat and network with visitors, let's be clear on what you SHOULD NOT Skype me for.

Skype is NOT A SOCIAL TOOL for lonely and desperate men to strike up a conversation with me. If I get the feeling that the conversation is becoming inane and meaningless, I will block you from ever contacting me. I am not someone who tolerates such nonsense, so if you think you are lonely and need some company, I suggest you search elsewhere.

Sounds good so far? Okay, feel free to contact me through Skype whenever my status is online :)
